Sligachan Hotel has played a pivotal part in the introduction of The Isle of Skye, and more specifically the Cuillin Hills, to the world beyond. The owners of the hotel – The Campbell Family – have in their possession a unique and fascinating collection of archive materials charting the Hotel’s history, the people involved, and the activities it has supported.
A Selection of these documents and artefacts illustrating the Sligachan Story, have now been restored and preserved within an Exhibition, specifically created for this purpose in the Hotel. The museum houses a collection of visitors books, climbing and angling records, original documents relating to the running of the business since 1913.
