Sligachan Hotel - in the heart of the Cuillins, Isle of Skye...where love roams free!

This Micro brewery opened in September 2004. It is a 5 barrel plant, which produces 4 Ales: Eagle, Skye, Pinnacle and Blackface, which are available to purchase in Seumas’s Bar, and one is normally on in Mackenzie’s bar.

The waters for making Cuillin ales are drawn from the river who's source is just above Coire a Bhasteir, the waters running down from the Cuillin gathering minerals and peat on their way to Sligachan where the slightly peated waters are used to give Cuillin beers their distinctive flavour and colouring.

Skye Ale
This is our main ale, Golden Brown in Colour (4.1%ABV), slightly nutty flavour, well rounded ale.

Blackface
This a stout like ale, The darkest of our beers, (4.3%ABV), Consisting of a slight chocolate taste smoothed off with a hint of heather honey. With a creamy head.

Eagle Ale
This is a golden coloured Ale (3.8%ABV). Smooth tasting, session ale, Light caramel taste, lightly hopped.

Pinnacle
This is an Amber Ale (4.7%ABV), with a complex flavour, a hoppy aroma and well rounded maltiness leaving you with a bitter sweet after taste.
