On Saturday 1st October there will be an art auction at Sligachan Hotel, in aid of, Crossroads Care, Skye and Lochalsh, and the Joseph McGoff Foundation. All the pieces have been generously donated by the artists and all money received from their sale will go to these two charities. Sligachan Hotel is donating three fine watercolours from artists who stayed in the 1920/30's

The auction will take place in Seumas' bar which is to become a gallery for the day. There will be an opportunity to preview the works in the gallery on Friday 30th September between 10.30am and 8.00pm.

Running alongside the auction we will be selling pieces donated by members of the public in an "Art in the Attic" sale.

Images of the artworks are shown below and can be enlarged by clicking on them. The 'typical gallery price' is shown in each case and in general it is expected that bidding will start at 20% of that figure. Some of the works will be auctioned in a conventional way by an auctioneer but the majority will be part of a 'silent auction' in which bids are made by adding to a bid sheet alongside the work.

On the auction day the arrangements are:
